Quickstart¶

First Launch¶

Run:

cogitus

The app opens with:

• Left pane: grouped idea tree
• Right pane: selected idea detail

Basic Flow¶

1. Press n to create a new idea.
2. Enter a title and optional body/tags/group.
3. Save with F5, or save and close with Ctrl+S.
4. Select ideas in the tree and press e to edit. Pressing Esc or choosing Cancel with unsaved edit changes asks for confirmation before closing the form.
5. Select an idea or group and press r to rename it.
6. Press d to delete an idea (with confirmation).

Search¶

• Press / to focus search.
• Type a query to filter ideas with ranked matches.
• Press Down to move into the dedicated search-results list.
• tag: / group: searches show matching ideas directly.
• Text searches show Group / Title headings with selectable match rows.
• If nothing matches, the results pane shows No results for "<query>".
• Press Up on the first match row to return to the search input.
• Press Esc to leave search.

Help¶

• Press a to open the in-app About dialog.
• Press ? to open the in-app help screen.
